Why we exist
Work is becoming more flexible, borderless, and skills-based. But access to it is uneven. Many people can work remotely yet have no structured way to build the skills, and no way to prove them once they do.
Tools and AI change faster than traditional programs keep up, and most courses still hand out generic certificates that don't translate into real confidence — or real work.
We started Global Remote Academy to close that gap with three things the category keeps leaving out: structure, mentorship, and proof.

How we're different
We don't compete on fast and cheap. We compete on credibility and outcomes.
The virtual-assistant and remote-work education space is crowded and noisy, and most of it competes on the same two promises: fast and cheap. That race has made the whole category feel unreliable — high refund rates, buyer's remorse, and certificates nobody trusts.
The question we want to answer isn't “which course is cheapest?” It's “which academy will actually make me — or my hires — trusted and ready?”
Meet our CEO
Yana Capa-Pasco
Yana Capa-Pasco began her career as a Virtual Assistant with no roadmap, no mentor, and no one showing her exactly what steps to take. She built her career through hard work, determination, curiosity, and a willingness to continuously learn.
What started as an opportunity to work remotely eventually opened doors she never imagined.
Through years of developing her skills, taking on greater responsibilities, and building strong relationships with the people she worked with, Yana grew beyond the traditional Virtual Assistant role. Clients became long-term partners, and those relationships eventually led her to become a shareholder, Co-Founder, and Business Partner of a US-based agency.
As her career progressed, Yana moved deeper into marketing, operations, leadership, and business growth. She played an active role in helping companies scale, strengthen their systems, and achieve significant growth milestones - including contributing to companies that earned a place on the Inc. 5000 list for three consecutive years.
For Yana, those achievements represented more than professional milestones. They were proof of how far someone can go when they are willing to start small, learn along the way, and continuously step into bigger opportunities.
Today, with nearly a decade of experience in the marketing and remote work industry, Yana has also dedicated part of her journey to coaching and mentoring aspiring Virtual Assistants. She helps others develop the skills, confidence, and mindset they need to build sustainable careers in the remote work industry.
But her definition of success goes beyond job titles, business growth, or professional recognition.
As a mother of two, Yana understands the importance of building a career without sacrificing the ability to be present for the people who matter most.
Remote work gave her the opportunity to grow professionally, create financial independence, and build a life where she could still be present for her family. That experience has become a driving force behind her bigger vision:
